The Weekly Dash is a blog about EmDash, the CMS that runs right inside an Astro website. There are two of us, we both build websites for a living, and we both help maintain EmDash. This is where we write down what we try, measure and learn along the way, in English and in German.
Why this blog
If you want to use EmDash for client projects, the docs tell you how things are meant to work. What actually happens when you import a WordPress site that has grown over the years, run a plugin on Cloudflare or update many sites at once is rarely in there. That is what we try out and write about, even when the result speaks against EmDash.
Because we work on the project ourselves, we aren't neutral. Every article says what we tested and with which versions, and when a bug sits in code one of us wrote, the article says so. How we go about it in detail is on How we work.
We don't get paid by Cloudflare or by any other company we write about.
How often
At least one new article comes out every week: a guide, a plugin we tested, or a changelog when a new EmDash release matters for existing projects. That's why the site is organised by calendar week. The easiest way to keep up is RSS.
Contact
Preferably in the comments under the article in question, so everyone benefits. Otherwise by email to hello@theweeklydash.com. The legally required details are in the legal notice.
